Sean Taylor was born on April 1, 1983 in Miami, Florida. Taylor's family was not wealthy but his love for football changed all that. Sean was a born a star, a natural, and an all American athlete.
Taylor played football at Miami Killian High School and went to Gulliver School where he played running back, defensive back, and line backer. The year 2000 was great for Taylor having a state record of 44 touchdowns, over 100 tackles, rushed 1,300 yards, rushed 200 yards, a 4-1 record, and winning the Florida Class 2A State Championships with Gulliver. In 2001, he was recruited by the University of Miami Hurricanes, Taylor was 1 of 4 freshmen selected. Sean broke up 15 passes, interrupted 4 passes, forced 1 fumble, blocked 1 kick, returned a punt for a touchdown, and finished with 85 tackles total and 53 solo in 2002. They year 2003 was his third and final year playing for the Miami Hurricanes.
Taylor entered the 2004 NFL draft to play for the Washington Redskins. In November 2007, Taylor missed practice in Washington because they was a break-in in his Miami home. Taylor resolved the issue and went to Washington then went back to his home in Miami over the weekend. On November 26, 2007 another break-in accrued while Taylor, girlfriend Jackie Garcia, and 1 year old daughter were home. Two shots were fired after Taylor who was trying to protect his family one missing and on hitting him in his upper leg. Jackie called police 26 hours later, but due to massive blood loss on November 27, 2007 Taylor was pronounced dead.
Sean Taylor's name was put on the Florida Association All-Century Team in 2007. Taylor died leaving family, friends, and fans behind at the age of 25. Taylor known as NFL's hardest hitter is truly missed by family, friends, and fans. R.I.P Sean Taylor.
