Jim Zorn: The New Era

Jim Zorn appears to be starting strong as the Redskins new head coach. He has already coached the Redskins to their fifth straight win in the Hall of Fame game (5-0) against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night, with a score of 30-16.

Just yesterday Zorn demonstrated that he is most definitely not taking his job soft once again, as he disciplined the two rookie wide receivers, Malcolm Kelly, and Devin Thomas for not passing the team physical.

Although the Washington Redskins new head coach was able to see his three quarterbacks do well in the game; he still seemed to hold back on the praise that he was giving them, almost like he was trying to mold them and shape them to be even better! Zorn noted the things that his team did well, but he especially made notes of what they need to work on as a team, in order to get properly prepared for the regular season.

"I hope everybody would realize that I don't think that we can just take the week off, and that, gosh, we got it made now everybody!" said Zorn after the Hall of Fame game on Sunday night in a press conference.

From that press conference it looks like the new coach is focused on getting his players back on the practice field in order to improve on their imperfections, and that although winning the Hall of Fame game was great it is only the beginning!
