Don Brashear

Don Brashear is a six foot two inch aggressive hockey player. His tall massive body frame created a force to be dealt with on the ice. His build intimated many of his opponents. He was the person to attack in order to win the game. He spent a mind boggling two-hundred-sixty-one minutes in the penalty box while playing 76 games with the Montreal Canadians and scored eleven goals in one year. That is an average of over 3.4 minutes per game in the penalty box.

Don Bashear was born in south-central Indiana and raised by a foster family in Quebec City, Canada after his mother saw he was being abused by his father. Brashear's mother was from Quebec City, Canada and she felt it was a great place for him to live. The foster family introduced him to skating. As he developed and grew, his foster parents encouraged him to get involved with hockey. He started to play for Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he showed he had great potential to score goals. As his body continued to develop and grow strong, he became a force to be reckoned with on the ice. Opponents were struggling to move around him and make goals. Because of how strong and an intense player he was, he was forced to play a very aggressive and physical game.

Brashear played for several NHL teams in his life such as the Montreal Canadians, where he was trained to be the power on the team. He spent five seasons playing for the Vancouver Canuck's and joined the Philadelphia Flyer's in 2001 and today he joined for the Washington Capitols.
