Redskins Draft Picks

To start the season, the Washington Redskins hired new coach Jim Zorn. Coach Zorn feels he knows the way to receive his team’s confidence. He also feels that this is the season for two Redskins: Colt Brennan and Chris Horton. In addition, one of the Washington Redskins draft picks is Devin Thomas, who will play as wide receiver. There were ten total players picked in the Redskin draft picks. The players for the Redskins are impressed with the way Coach Zorn has the ability to pick plays to make big results. Malcolm Kelly is another person picked as a wide receiver. He is similar in stature to Devin Thomas, but will bring a young talent to the game. Fred Davis was brought in as tight end. Chad Rhinehart was picked for offensive tackle. Justin Tyson will be covering corner back and Durant Brooks will be the punter.

The Redskins decided to trade Reche Caldwell and David Macklin to the St. Louis Rams in exchange for Durant Brooks and Kareem Moore. Mark Brunell was traded to the New Orleans Saints. The Washington Redskins never did re-sign approximately ten players leaving those players as free agents. The key additions for the Redskins were trading defensive end Erasmus James for a conditional round to the Minnesota Vikings. Another key addition would be the trade for defensive end Jason Taylor to the Miami Dolphins. Zorn views the games in a realistic way, but makes note that the team still needs a lot of work.
