The Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards are no strangers to change. In fact, they could get even more attention with the team name, the “Washington Changers.” In all seriousness, this team has had their ups and downs and everything in between. From their six team name changes, to ownership and termination by Michael Jordan, this team has experienced both excitement and hardship.

Some popular changes the team has experienced have included, Jordan leaving the team as both a player and a minority owner. Some speculate this could have been one of the reasons which may have caused the “Wizards” to suffer a set back in the 2003-04 season. However, the following season proved to be more fruitful. According to Wikipedia, the 2004-05 season marked the first time the franchise ever made the playoffs as the “Wizards.” The team's win against the Chicago Bulls put them in position for the playoffs for the first time since the 1996-97 season.

The Wizards have also had many interesting off season personnel changes, including trades made, players drafted, players signed as free agents, and players released.
One of the most interesting off season changes came when Abe Pollin (team’s owner) proposed to offer fans a chance to receive a satisfaction guarantee, according to a letter he sent to season ticket holders which read "will pay back in full any deposits to account holders who want them after the off season." This proposal was a chance for the team's owner to let all Wizard fans know positive changes were being made for the team's future success. As wizard fans purchase their season tickets the anticipation of these changes bring excitement to the coming season.
