Jason Campbell of the Washington Redskins was perfect in all of his throws during the Hall of Fame Game. He threw a 20-yard touchdown to Antwaan Randle El and was 5-for-5 for 61 yards. All of the Redskin quarterbacks had a very good night with their performances. Colt Brennan played the second half for the Redskins and was able to convert a 3rd-and-7 by throwing a 34-yard pass to Billy McMullen.
The Washington Wizards kept most of their team members from the 2006-07 season. Several of the team members experienced injuries during the games and were unable to play. Gilbert Arenas had to have surgery on his left knee and the injury inhibited him from playing for a period of 68 games. Caron Butler was unable to play for a total of 20 games due to a labral tear. The Wizards were able to go 43-49 on the regular season in spite of all the team injuries.
The Washington Nationals are located in Washington DC and is an American professional baseball team. The team plays their games in Nationals Park that was completed in 2008 and is located near the Anacostia River. The club was originally started in Montreal, Quebec in 1969 and was known as the Montreal Expos. During the following years, the team saw little success and left Montreal before the 2005 season. The opening of the Nationals ballpark was held on March 30, 2008. President Bush was present at the game to throw out the first pitch to the Nationals manager Manny Acta. The Nationals won the game with a 3-2 victory.
